Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay thai fighter, mixed martial artist who currently competing with the UFC flyweight division. Valentina Shevchenko, who is a former UFC Flyweight titleholder, and UFC friend of hers is her younger sister. Antonina Shevchenko began her combat sporting career by becoming a Muay Thai boxer. She debuted at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko was the winner of the event and defeated Suzane Miller at the end of the tournament by an unanimous decision. Antonina was able to continue her professional career after winning a silver and bronze medals in 2007 and 2008 respectively, and a gold medal in 2011, along with the title of 2016 IFMA amateur Muay thai world champion. Antonia started her professional career in 2003, and she took home the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012. She also won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship in 2016, and also the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships in 2016. Antonina was a part of Isa TIDBLAD Keskikangas's fight last at Phoenix Fighting Championship. The winner was a unanimous decision. Antonina Schevchenko began the professional phase of her MMA career in 2002 after an impressive win against Anara Baanova at the KFK Championships of Kyrgystan. She was 3-0 after winning in the second round TKO. The next two fights were won at WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. Shevchenko dedicated herself to kickboxing, and took a long break of MMA. She returned to fight in 2017 and faced Anissa Hasdaoui. Shevchenko won against Anissa by a unanimous vote before prevailing over Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. Following the league's dissolution in 2018, Shevchenko was a part of Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina made use of her formidable striking skills and striking skills to TKO Nievera in the clinch with knees and body. Following this victory, Antonina received a UFC contract. Antonina made her UFC debut at the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, in a fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was victorious via unanimous decision but was defeated in her subsequent fight with Roxanne Modafferi in a split decision. Antonina recovered from the loss to defeat Lucie Pudilova via rear-naked choking submission during the second round of UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the extra fight of the night in this fight. Shevchenko has a record of 1-2 over her next three bouts which included a win over Ariane Lipski while falling to Katlyn Clarkagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina was recently lost to Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
