Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell (born 25th August, 1949) is an American TV chef personality. She also was a former instructor of the Institute of Culinary Education. She hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef at Food Network. Food Network. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host who has spiky blond locks and a lively personality, explains how to prepare restaurant-style meals in your home with simple techniques. Burrell is a chef who has been in the kitchen for a long time. Burrell is also a veteran of New York City's best restaurants. Additionally, she has explored Italy's cuisine and culture, as well as the landscape. Burrell is a native of the Upstate and grew up within New York State's Upstate, began to develop a passion for cooking. She pursued her love of working in the restaurant business by enrolment at The Culinary Institute of America following her graduation in English and Communication from Canisius College, Buffalo NY. She states "I enjoyed being a Culinary Institute of American student. I loved every minute of it." I was unable to learn enough, didn't accomplish enough, and I couldn't put in the effort enough. After graduating at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners, Chef Burrell spent an entire year in Italy learning and working in La Taverna del Lupo restaurant located in Umbria as well La Bottega del 30 one Michelin rating in Tuscany. It was during this time that her experience in Italy has helped her understand and appreciate the Italian tradition and philosophy, and has made an impact on her own food and culinary experience. Burrell serves on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that helps brighten the lives of kids who struggle. Burrell is also a Juvenile diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Advocate, where she raises awareness about the condition of children with diabetes. She speaks about her cooking love and imparts her experiences in the food world when she is in the United States for the roles of speakers and mentors. Anne often has mentioned during her career in the kitchen she's grateful to be able share with others what is truly important to her.
