Ali's presence was also evident on TV screens. A Man Called Hawk and Wally and the Valentines were some of her TV performances. Ali's breakthrough came around 1990, when Ali created Ashley Banks a reality in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. The show was an enormous hit and featured Will Smith and Ali as its stars. It was one of the most popular shows on NBC, putting it 12th in terms of the most watched programming from 1990 until 1992. It also earned two Golden Globe nominations.
